We'll begin our trip with a special boat tour of Cincinnati, and we'll bet you've never been on a boat ride like this before. This boat boards in Metamora, Indiana and takes us on a half hour excursion on the Ben Franklin III, a 75-foot-long wood and fiberglass boat that is driven by a horse. Yes, a real horse! Actually, two horses to be correct. These Belgian draft horses trot along slide the canal and pull the tethered boat behind them. The canal routes in this portion of Indiana and Ohio started in the mid-1800s and became an important part of the local economy. Farmers relied upon these canals as a way to provide transportation from town to town, and eventually linking these towns to Cincinnati. The canal was also utilized by mills and factories as power, there is a mill still being used to grind corn meal today! As we explore the

canal, we'll also see the nation's only known wooden aqueduct, a bridge carrying water over a river.

The next day we'll travel to Findlay Market in Cincinnati. This is the oldest continuously operated public market and a cherished institution of the city. This market will provide us with plenty of shopping opportunities including fresh flowers, specialty cheeses, ethnic foods, chocolates and much more.

We will finish our tour of this wonderful city by hopping onto a BB Riverboat for a historic sightseeing cruise while enjoying a delicious dinner. The boat is a beautiful classic white riverboat with red accents where we can enjoy sitting on fresh air deck, or inside next to the climate-controlled dance floor, so make sure you bring your dancing shoes! After we step aboard we will tour along the Ohio river where we can take in the beautiful skyline of Cincinnati and dine on yummy chicken, short ribs, and dessert.
